• Presenter Bios:
  • Tim Sheldon:  Tim Sheldon is a Workforce Programs Specialist 1 for the Shared Work Program Promotional team with the New York State Department of Labor, currently focusing on the 5 boroughs of NYC. Before being appointed to the Shared Work Team in 2023, Tim was operating in the Unemployment division since 2020, helping to oversee staff working Fraud claims. Prior to joining the New York State Department of Labor, Tim worked in the private sector as an installed Sales manager for lumber companies, installing insulation and windows in new and remodeled homes. In his spare time, Tim is an avid sports fan, enjoying the NY Yankees and NY Giants along with spending time with his girlfriend and his 152-pound Great Dane, Gunner.

 

• Lori Law:  Lori Law is the Supervisor for the New York State Department of Labor’s (DOL) Shared Work Promotional team, which supports all regions in NYS by educating the business community about this layoff aversion program.  Prior to this appointment, Lori supported DOL’s regional Rapid Response teams across NYS who provide early job placement assistance for dislocated workers.  Before entering public service, Lori spent over 27 years in the private sector working in the Talent Acquisition / Recruitment, Retail, and Real Estate Industries.  Her area of expertise includes process development, strategy and planning, marketing, recruitment, and business process analysis.  Lori enjoys spending time with her family and pup Lucy and loves being outside in her garden and in her kitchen cooking up family dinners and baking sweet treats.
