Immigration Law + Legal Considerations Around Supporting Working Parents Through the Great Re-think of COVID and Beyond

Our second session will be kicked off by our Featured Speaker on immigration law, Alexis Axelrad, Partner at Barst.

Then...

By the most conservative estimate, 45% of employees are caregivers in their personal lives, responsible for their children, their aging parents, and often, both. In this panel, Lauren Smith Brody, author and founder of The Fifth Trimester, joins Davis+Gilbert Labor and Employment partner Sharon CohenAxiom Senior Counsel for Employment Teri Bouchard; and Vivvi CEO Charlie Bonello to discuss how to retain stressed-out, talented working parents through the Great Resignation -- and how to innovate alongside them toward a Great Reimagining of work.

The webinar will include a focus on how employers can establish more inclusive policies that are supportive of working parents, with a focus on legal obligations, how to provide leave and other equitable policies, as well as other programs/policies that, while not legally required, are helpful ways in furthering inclusivity of working parents. Together, with an eye toward both the legal obligations and growth opportunities of this unique economic moment, the speakers will examine the benefits and culture that build equity, prevent discrimination and keep women and parents in the pipeline to leadership -- all endorsed by evidence-backed research on the ROI for caregiver support.
