          IMPORTANT NOTICE

This proposal form DOES NOT offer you the ability to log in and out -- once started, you will need to COMPLETE IN FULL. To submit your proposal to present, we recommend the following steps:

  • Print out a sample form and use it for planning the data you will submit.
  • Complete the Speaker Proposal in its entirety.
  • Move to the next data field by using your "tab" key.
  • Do not use bullets or numbering - They will corrupt your submission file
  • All content must be submitted using the proposal form. DO NOT attach extra pages.
  • Review for accuracy, grammar and spelling as the information provided will be printed in brochures, publications, on the website, and on the mobile app.
  • If submitting proposals for multiple topics, complete a separate Speaker Proposal for EACH presentation proposed.

If you have not previously presented at a NYC SHRM event, please provide two references from other conferences or events where you have presented.

If there will be a Co-Presenter for your session, please complete the following information.
Give serious thought to your session topic, title, description and objectives. If you are selected as a speaker, this information will be used for promotional purposes and may not be changed later. *Title of Session is limited to 10 words or less.
This is a descriptive paragraph of your session. Please DO NOT USE bullets or numbered items in your description. *The paragraph must be 65 words or less.
Please let us know if you would be willing to repeat your presentation in a second time slot to allow more attendees access to your presentation.

  • HR Certification Institute and SHRM base their approvals for HR credit on the information you provide here. All concurrent session rooms will be equipped with the following:

  • LCD Projector for PowerPoint
  • Screen(s)
  • Wireless Lavaliere Microphone

Laptops will not be provided. If your presentation includes a PowerPoint, you are responsible for supplying a laptop with your presentation loaded.

Other equipment may be available by special request and may incur an equipment charge. Note that flipcharts are discouraged however; a white board is available. Indicate your request and, in the event that you are invited to speak, a staff person will contact you.


The Conference will produce an online, password-protected web page available to registered attendees that features pdf files of speakers' materials.

I understand that New York City SHRM is not responsible for shipping and/or printing charges. I agree to follow the regulations set forth in this agreement.
