How to Build Resilience—Tools for leadership, innovation, and empowerment

Why does adversity cause some people to break, and others to break records?

We live in a tremendously challenging business climate; with change, uncertainty and disruption at every turn. But, some people show remarkable resilience—they make change and uncertainty work in their favor. Some leaders can build resilience into their teams, and they inspire their people to overcome setbacks. And, some resilient companies innovate their way through challenge and disruption, while their competition stumbles.

This workshop will unlock the secrets of resilience. You will learn how to become more resilient yourself; how to inspire resilience in teams you lead; and how HR can become a change agent to build a culture of resilience across your organization.

Gerry Valentine, Founder of Vision Executive Coaching, provides the tools for building resilience—tools for leadership, innovation and empowerment. You will learn why building resilient cultures is a unique value-add that HR professionals can bring to their companies, and how to discuss that value-add with senior leadership.

During this interactive session, participants will learn:

1.       The fundamentals of resilience.

2.       How to change your perspective on challenges, and how to avoid the self-defeating cycle that defeats most people.

3.       What science has discovered about resilience, and how to put those lessons to work.

4.       How companies can unlock innovation and empowerment in challenging times.

5.       The leadership capabilities that create resilient cultures.

This workshop will also provide HR professionals with specific techniques to contribute to their organizations’ strategic goals; tools to establish strategic relationships with key individuals in their organizations; and ways to influence organizational decision-making.

This session will provide 1.5 HRCI / SHRM credits related to Leadership and Communication.
