Whether you or your leaders are heading up multicultural domestic or global teams or are on an expatriate assignment, research shows that the road to success is marked with many challenges, which for some leaders appear insurmountable. So why is it that certain people are successful in multicultural settings, while others are not? CQ (Cultural Intelligence) is defined as an individual’s capability to grasp, reason and behave effectively in situations characterized by cultural diversity. The good news is that CQ is an ability that can be assessed and developed.
In this interactive session Susan Farwell, President of The Executive Communicator, LLC will discuss research findings on cultural intelligence and how CQ differs from a person’s IQ or EQ. She will make suggestions on how to identify the leaders in your organization with high CQ and effectively assess CQ levels of potential candidates for global assignments. You will walk away with tools to help you assess CQ, maximize CQ strengths and further develop CQ in yourself and others in your organization.
